Drama/fantasy series debuts June 4 on Netflix
An eight-episode fantasy drama based on the Vertigo comic book series by Jeff Lemire, Sweet Tooth follows a group of animal-human hybrids seeking answers about the post-apocalyptic world they find themselves in. (It may be tough to imagine, but picture a world that has been devastated by a fast-spreading virus.) Christian Convery, Will Forte, and James Brolin star in the series, which comes from Jim Mickle (Hap and Leonard). Readers of the comic should expect a much lighter tone in the Netflix series—a change that alarmed some fans when first revealed. But as we write this, early reviews suggest that the core of the story remains unchanged, and critics seem to love the show so far.
