Comedy/drama series debuts June 18 on Apple TV+
The pandemic may have deprived us of another season of GLOW this summer, but stepping in to fill that 1980s TV void is Apple's latest original. Physical stars Rose Byrne as "quietly tortured" San Diego housewife Sheila Rubin, who finds a unique path to empowerment: launching a VHS aerobics-instruction business. The 10-episode satire comes from Annie Weisman (who has written for The Bold Type and Desperate Housewives, among other credits) and also stars Rory Scovel (as Sheila's politician husband), Dierdre Friel, Paul Sparks, and Lou Taylor Pucci. The first three half-hour episodes stream on day one, followed by weekly installments.
