Film debuts June 12 on Disney+. The most prominent planned 2020 theatrical release so far to bypass theaters and head straight to streaming during the coronavirus pandemic is this big-budget Disney fantasy adventure from director Kenneth Branagh. (It would have opened in May.) The adaptation of Eoin Colfer's novels finds a 12-year-old criminal mastermind (newcomer Ferdia Shaw) caught up in a battle with supernatural forces. Josh Gad, Colin Farrell, and Judi Dench also star.
