18 TV Shows (and Films) to Watch at Home in June
and Keith Kimbell, Metacritic Film Editor – May 28, 2020
In the gallery above, our editors have selected the most interesting TV shows debuting this month, listed in order by premiere date. Because movies are now an at-home activity, we have also included this month's top new film releases viewable at home.
Season 2 debuts June 19 on Netflix. Ryan Murphy's satire jumps forward in time for its second season, though it picks up where the season one finale left off, with Ben Platt's now college-aged Payton Hobart mounting an improbable run for a New York state senate seat against an entrenched incumbent (played again by Judith Light). Bette Midler, who was also introduced in last year's finale, is a regular this season, while returning cast members include Gwyneth Paltrow, Lucy Boynton, and Zoey Deutch.
