14 Films to See in June
June will bring more than just the usual assortment of explosions and CGI effects to the cineplex. There are promising new films from Edgar Wright, Sofia Coppola, and Bong Joon-ho, an unusually large number of well-reviewed indie comedies, and a terrific new horror film. There's also something even more rare: a good DC Comics film. Find details on these and all of June's most notable releases below.
Gal Gadot’s Diana Prince has come to save the DC Extended Universe. With excellent early reviews, the best part of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice now has the best film of a world that began with Man of Steel and reached its nadir (hopefully) with Suicide Squad. Wonder Woman follows Diana as as she’s introduced to the world outside of Themyscria, home of the Amazons, by Chris Pine’s Steve Trevor. She fights in World War I and faces off against Elena Anaya’s Dr. Poison, Danny Huston’s General Erich Ludendorff, and a big bad in the form of Ares.
