14 Films to See in June
June will bring more than just the usual assortment of explosions and CGI effects to the cineplex. There are promising new films from Edgar Wright, Sofia Coppola, and Bong Joon-ho, an unusually large number of well-reviewed indie comedies, and a terrific new horror film. There's also something even more rare: a good DC Comics film. Find details on these and all of June's most notable releases below.
With this story of a young, tinitus-suffering getaway driver (Ansel Elgort) who meets the love of his life (Lily James) and tries to get out from under his evil boss (Kevin Spacey), writer-director Edgar Wright looks to have another critical hit on his hands. Coming four years after The World’s End (the director decided to leave Ant-Man in preproduction), Wright’s latest burst of exuberant action-comedy features supporting turns by Jon Hamm, Jamie Foxx, Jon Bernthal, and Eiza González.
