11 Films to See in June
With summer movie season in full swing, you can expect multiple sequels (with Pixar's Finding Dory the most notable) in June. But you'll also find a surprising number of original and unconventional titles in theaters, including new films from Nicolas Winding Refn, Todd Solondz, Noah Baumbach, Taika Waititi, and more.
Love for 2003’s Finding Nemo leads to high expectations for this sequel that reunites Nemo (now voiced by Hayden Rolence), Marlin (Albert Brooks) and Dory (Ellen DeGeneres) as the forgetful blue tang fish searches for her family. Director Andrew Stanton returns after jumping into live-action filmmaking with John Carter, and this time he’s joined by co-director Angus MacLane. Expect to see stunning underwater images, a few familiar faces, and new characters when Dory finds herself in a rehabilitation institute for marine life.
