Adventure/stealth/survival horror
Out July 6 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Switch
First released in 2019 on PC and previous-generation consoles to solid reviews, A Plague Tale: Innocence now comes to both new consoles in a 4K-enhanced version as well as to the Nintendo Switch (the latter as a cloud edition) ahead of a planned sequel, Requiem, due next year. The third-person, single-player survival horror game blends stealth and puzzle-solving and a dark, original story set in 1349 when a young girl and her kid brother must fend off swarms of rats, the Inquisition, and other horrors. Innocence is also rumored to be coming to PlayStation Plus in July, though at press time that addition has not been confirmed.
