Reality series debuts July 21 on Netflix
We're not saying it's going to be good, necessarily—it's just that we couldn't not picture it here, for obvious reasons. One part Love Is Blind, one part The Masked Singer, Netflix's newest dating series follows a series of blind dates in which a single person must choose from three potential suitors ... each of whom has been "transformed into various animals and mythical creatures through the use of Hollywood movie prosthetics" from the neck up, courtesy of veteran FX artist Kristyan Mallet. A suitor can only remove their disguise once selected at the end of the episode. It doesn't appear that the show, an adaptation of a British format, will take itself too seriously—after all, actor/comedian Rob Delaney (Catastrophe) is the host and, well, look at this—but it has already been picked up for a second season to stream later this year.
