Movie debuts July 16 on HBO Max
This sequel to the 1996 cult classic (that may not be quite the right term, but we'll go with it) finds LeBron James stepping into the Air Jordans of, well, Michael Jordan, as he teams up with Bugs Bunny and other Warner Bros. animated characters to play a very important game of basketball. (Weirdly, it's the only important game of basketball on LeBron's calendar this summer.) Don Cheadle, Zendaya, and Sonequa Martin-Green—as well as (W)NBA stars Klay Thompson, Anthony Davis, Diana Taurasi, Chris Paul, and Damian Lillard, among others—also star. Co-written by Ryan Coogler (Black Panther) and directed by Malcolm D. Lee (Girls Trip), the film will stream on HBO Max for one month concurrent with its theatrical release.
