Directing his first narrative film after a number of documentaries, Joshua Z. Weinstein takes audiences into New York's ultra-orthodox Hasidic Jewish community to tell the story of Menashe, a widower prevented from raising his son alone due to the rules of his community. Shot over nearly two years, the all-Yiddish-language film earned excellent reviews at Sundance.
