In this 2017 release, Depp returns to his iconic role of Captain Jack Sparrow for the fifth time. The famous pirate is on the search for the legendary Trident of Poseidon as deadly pirate hunters, led by Captain Salazar (Javier Bardem), are on a mission to kill Sparrow.
The Seattle Times panned the action film for being “mostly a noisy, dark 3D blur in which the characters run around a lot, seemingly looking for the exits.”
