Drama/anthology series debuts January 22 on Fox (and January 23 on Hulu)
An episodic anthology with a new cast and setting each week, The Accused is adapted from a BBC series by Homeland's Howard Gordon and Alex Gansa along with The Good Doctor's David Shore. Each of its 15 episodes features a fast-paced crime thriller told through flashbacks from the point of view of a defendant on trial for a crime. And the anthology format means a better cast than is normal for a network show. Guest stars include Michael Chiklis, Margo Martindale, Wendell Pierce, Rachel Bilson, Mary Lynn Rajskub, Baron Vaughn, Rhea Perlman, Jack Davenport, Abigail Breslin, Malcolm-Jamal Warner, and Whitney Cummings, while directors include Michael Cuesta, Billy Porter, and Marlee Matlin (making her directorial debut).
