Season 2 Part 1 debuts January 26 on Syfy
Rarely has the impending destruction of the human race been so delightful. Syfy's hit sci-fi comedy charmed viewers and critics alike during its first season a year ago with its comic book-derived story of an alien (Alan Tudyk) who crashes on Earth while on a mission to eradicate mankind and finds himself stranded in a small town, where he assumes the identity of a local doctor. This follow-up season will arrive in two parts, with the second half arriving sometime this summer. Joining the cast this year is Emmy-winner Alex Borstein (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel).
Immediately following the season premiere of Resident Alien is the debut of Syfy's newest series, Astrid & Lilly Save the World. Sort of a more overtly comedic take on the Buffy the Vampire Slayer formula, the new series centers on a pair of high schoolers who accidentally open a portal to a terrifying, monster-filled dimension.
