30 Film Directors Who Have Never Made a Bad Movie
Recently, we looked at 30 filmmakers who made only one well-reviewed movie over their entire careers, and then 25 great directors who missed out on perfection by just one film. But there is an even more elite group of film directors who have received critical acclaim for every single film they ever directed. In other words, they've never received anything but a green Metascore for one of their features.

Though he may be best known as a frequent screenwriter and as one of TV's more prolific producers (whose current roster includes Westworld and the upcoming Hulu series Castle Rock), Abrams first stepped behind the camera to direct episodes of his own shows Felicity, Lost, and Alias before moving to the big screen with the third installment in Tom Cruise's Mission: Impossible franchise. He has since become one of the few people (and only director) to work in both the Star Trek and Star Wars universes, and his next directorial effort will be a return to the latter with Star Wars: Episode IX next year.
