Season 2 debuts February 14 on Sundance and AMC+
Originally conceived as a one-off, short-form miniseries from writer Nick Hornby and director Stephen Frears, the Emmy-nominated State of the Union is now an anthology. So while Hornby and Frears return for this second season, you'll get a new cast and story, albeit with the same basic concept: A married couple (now played by Brendan Gleeson and Patricia Clarkson) gather for a quick 10-minute drink and conversation (now in a Connecticut coffee shop rather than a British pub) each week prior to their marriage counselling session. The ten 10-minute episodes air each weeknight at 10p on Sundance but will also be available to stream all at once on day one via Sundance Now and AMC+.
