Drama series debuts February 13 on Peacock
A dramatic, serialized, present-day reboot of the Will Smith-led 1990s NBC culture clash sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, this Peacock original drama series actually has its origins in a 2019 viral parody video by Morgan Cooper. And Cooper is a producer on the new series (which was delayed a bit due to several showrunner changes) that similarly follows a young man named Will (newcomer Jabari Banks) as he moves from West Philadelphia to the titular ritzy L.A. enclave where his uncle and aunt (Adrian Holmes and Cassandra Freeman) live. New episodes stream weekly, and a second season has already been ordered.
