Fall Games Preview: 20 Most-Anticipated Videogames
While some of the most-anticipated games originally expected this year have—no surprise here—been delayed into 2018, the fall months will still bring plenty of options. Below, we profile the most noteworthy videogames scheduled for release between now and the end of 2017.
After going into the future with 2016's Infinite Warfare, the 14-year-old shooter franchise heads back to familiar territory (World War II, where Call of Duty first started) with this year's installment. Developed by the same company responsible for 2014's Advanced Warfare, the new game places you as a young private in America's 1st Infantry Division during famous battles like the D-Day invasion and the Battle of the Bulge. Developers cite Saving Private Ryan as a major inspiration, at least for the campaign; the co-op Nazi zombie mode probably doesn't have much to do with the film.
