Fall Games Preview: 20 Most-Anticipated Videogames
While some of the most-anticipated games originally expected this year have—no surprise here—been delayed into 2018, the fall months will still bring plenty of options. Below, we profile the most noteworthy videogames scheduled for release between now and the end of 2017.
After a fairly successful launch in 2015 with Project Cars, the crowdfunded, community-developed racing simulation returns with its first sequel. The new version features 180 licensed cars (including high-end brands like Ferrari that were missing the first time) and 60 tracks, with the obsession with detail that is the franchise's hallmark. Dynamic weather and day/night lighting have been added (along with multi-class racing and a career mode), handling has been improved, and PC gamers can also play in 12K resolution (or in VR). The game will also support the new Xbox One X console, competing with Microsoft's own racer, Forza Motorsport 7.
