Fall Games Preview: 20 Most-Anticipated Videogames
While some of the most-anticipated games originally expected this year have—no surprise here—been delayed into 2018, the fall months will still bring plenty of options. Below, we profile the most noteworthy videogames scheduled for release between now and the end of 2017.
You'll have to wait another year or two for a new console Metroid game, but Nintendo's handheld will get a (semi-)new installment this week. A remake of the 1991 Game Boy side-scroller Metroid II: Return of Samus, Samus Returns (thankfully) doesn't feature 1991-level graphics. But visuals (including new 3D backgrounds) aren't the only upgrades here. Gameplay has been tweaked: Among other things, you can now aim your weapon more precisely, and you can even forgo shooting to use a melee attack.
