Fall Games Preview: 20 Most-Anticipated Videogames
Below, we profile the most noteworthy videogames scheduled for release between now and the end of the year. Games without official release dates (like this week's new Early Access title Divinity: Original Sin 2) are omitted, since they may not arrive until 2017.
In 2014, Ubisoft launched a new franchise with Watch Dogs, its computer-hacking stealth action-adventure game. The game company has even bigger expectations for this first sequel, which Ubisoft thinks can become one of its best-selling games ever. The new release takes place in the Bay Area, and places an emphasis on teamwork as your (more likable) protagonist, Marcus Holloway, joins up with the hacker group DedSec. (In fact, you can play through the entire game in co-op multiplayer, much like in The Division.) You'll also have more opportunities to show off your skills this time, as every single phone and car in the game will be hackable. Early previews suggest that developers have attempted to add more humor and make the open world environment more interesting this time around.
