Fall Games Preview: 20 Most-Anticipated Videogames
Below, we profile the most noteworthy videogames scheduled for release between now and the end of the year. Games without official release dates (like this week's new Early Access title Divinity: Original Sin 2) are omitted, since they may not arrive until 2017.
Titanfall, the 2014 multiplayer shooter from a team of former Call of Duty developers that managed to score fairly strong reviews even while failing to meet all of fans' (perhaps unrealistic) expectations, gets its first sequel next month. Glance above and you'll notice one major difference right away: Titanfall 2 is no longer an Xbox One console exclusive. The new game will also feature a single-player story mode (playable offline), something the original lacked. You can also expect more variety in the abilities of the various Titans, which should in turn make combat a bit more interesting and unpredictable.
