2018 Fall TV Preview: 25 Notable Shows
In the gallery above, we preview the most notable new and returning television shows scheduled to debut between now and the end of 2018. Note that the new fall shows on the five broadcast networks will be profiled separately next week.
Debuts September 27 on CBS. Twenty years after it left the air, the Emmy-winning comedy series returns for an 11th season which finds Candice Bergen's Murphy Brown ending her retirement and entering the Fake News era with a new job as host of a morning cable news show, with the action picking up first on election night in 2016, and then in the present day.
The 13 episodes find Bergen joined by the entire surviving original cast, though Charles Kimbrough (who played anchor Jim Dial) won't be a regular and will instead appear in just a few episodes. The cast will be filled out with new regulars Tyne Daly and Jake McDorman, plus many, many new secretaries.
