2018 Fall TV Preview: 25 Notable Shows
In the gallery above, we preview the most notable new and returning television shows scheduled to debut between now and the end of 2018. Note that the new fall shows on the five broadcast networks will be profiled separately next week.
Debuts September 14 on Prime Video. Former SNL co-stars Fred Armisen and Maya Rudolph reunite—as perhaps the most "normal" characters they have ever played—for a new Amazon (non-sketch) comedy series about a Southern California married couple attempting to break out of their boring, suburban rut by entering unfamiliar territory for the first time in 12 years. (If the first teaser trailer is any indication, that unfamiliar territory involves a knife and a bonfire, among other things.)
Though the shopping giant hasn't revealed all too many details about Forever, there are several promising signs, including a good cast that also includes Catherine Keener and Noah Robbins. Even better: the series comes from the minds of Master of None co-creator Alan Yang and 30 Rock's Matt Hubbard, who first worked together as writers on Parks and Recreation. They have created a show that comes to a definitive ending at the end of its eight-episode run.
