2018 Fall TV Preview: 25 Notable Shows
In the gallery above, we preview the most notable new and returning television shows scheduled to debut between now and the end of 2018. Note that the new fall shows on the five broadcast networks will be profiled separately next week.
Debuts September 12 on FX. If this were a reality competition series, it would probably be titled American Horror Story: All Stars. While every season of Ryan Murphy's horror anthology seems to feature recurring cast members, this eighth year, titled Apocalypse, actually blends characters from Murder House (aka Season 1) and Coven (Season 3), which means you'll see a ton of familiar faces. Some will even be playing two—or even three—different characters, and some will be playing characters who were previously killed off. (Sometimes it's nice to have ghosts.)
So which stars are returning? A partial list includes Connie Britton, Dylan McDermott, Sarah Paulson, Jessica Lange, Kathy Bates, Frances Conroy, Taissa Farmiga, Emma Roberts, Evan Peters, Billy Eichner, Billie Lourd, Adina Porter, Cheyenne Jackson, Stevie Nicks, Lily Rabe, Gabourey Sidibe, and Leslie Grossman. Newcomers include Joan Collins and Cody Fern. The exact story is being kept a secret for now (as is any footage of the new season).
