2018 Fall TV Preview: 25 Notable Shows
In the gallery above, we preview the most notable new and returning television shows scheduled to debut between now and the end of 2018. Note that the new fall shows on the five broadcast networks will be profiled separately next week.
Debuts November 19 on AMC. After The Night Manager scored impressive reviews and received a dozen Emmy nominations for AMC in 2016, it became inevitable that more John le Carré adaptations would follow. (Not that we're complaining.)
Next up is The Little Drummer Girl, le Carré's 1983 novel about an Israeli spy who enlists an actress to help him track down a Palestinian terrorist moving through Europe. (It was previously made into a 1984 feature film.) And once again there is some major talent involved. Oldboy and The Handmaiden director Park Chan-wook makes his TV debut (he directs the entire series) with a cast led by Florence Pugh, Alexander Skarsgard, and Michael Shannon. The six-hour miniseries is set in the late 1970s and will air across three consecutive nights.
