2018 Fall TV Preview: 25 Notable Shows
In the gallery above, we preview the most notable new and returning television shows scheduled to debut between now and the end of 2018. Note that the new fall shows on the five broadcast networks will be profiled separately next week.
Debuts October 7 on Disney Channel. You'll still have to wait at least a year for the first live-action Star Wars series, which should come to Disney's new streaming service (along with a new season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars) in late 2019 or 2020. But you only have to wait a little more than a month for the next animated Star Wars show.
Set just months before the events of The Force Awakens, Resistance centers on the adventures of a young pilot named Kazuda Xiono, who is tasked by the Resistance with a top-secret spy mission against the First Order. The series will feature both new and familiar characters, with the latter group including BB-8, Poe Dameron, and Captain Phasma. (And, yes, that really is Oscar Isaac and Gwendoline Christie providing their voices.) The remaining voice cast includes Christopher Sean, Donald Faison, Josh Brener, Jim Rash, Bobby Moynihan, and Rachel Butera, with the latter playing Leia Organa, who will be a recurring character.
