China Girl is Jane Campion's follow-up to her acclaimed 2013 miniseries. Star Elisabeth Moss returns—joined by Nicole Kidman and Game of Thrones' Gwendoline Christie—for a new mystery that takes place four years later in the much more urban setting of Sydney, Australia, where the body of an Asian girl washes up on the beach. The series premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in May (a rarity for a TV show), and critics were greatly impressed by the episodes screened in France. The six-hour miniseries will air across three consecutive nights on Sundance, with episodes also streaming on Hulu the day after they air.
