SNL's Jay Pharoah stars as a black comedian on the verge of major fame in a series loosely based on the early career of Jamie Foxx (who will have a recurring guest role). The comedy comes from Californication creator Tom Kapinos, and is also produced and directed by Tim Story (Barbershop). Utkarsh Ambudkar, Cleopatra Coleman, and Jacob Ming-Trent round out the regular cast, while guests include Michael Rapaport, Natalie Zea, Meagan Good (reprising her Californication guest role), Steve Zissis, and Stephen Tobolowsky.
