After six "seasons" as a web series (during which the show recieved high praise from Time's James Poniewozik, among numerous other critics), comedic anthology series High Maintenance is moving to HBO for its next season. The upcoming episodes continue to share just one thing in common: a Brooklyn pot dealer played by Ben Sinclair (who also writes and directs the series with his wife, Katja Blichfeld). Each episode finds him visiting a different client, and it is their stories that power the episodes, resulting in a series of humorous, miniature but sharply observed character portraits that require no chemical enhancement to enjoy. No prior knowledge of the series is needed to jump in, but you can catch all 19 previous episodes right now on HBO's various streaming services.
