Fall 2018 Music Preview: 45 Key Albums
In the gallery above, get details about (and listen to music from) the most noteworthy albums scheduled for release between now and the end of 2018, including music from Paul McCartney, Muse, Cat Power, Thom Yorke, Elvis Costello, Low, Spiritualized, and more. Only albums with firm (or mostly firm) release dates are included (that means no Childish Gambino or Vampire Weekend, among others), and the albums are listed alphabetically by artist.
Elastic Days by J Mascis
Out November 9 on Sub Pop. Over the past decade, Mascis has been alternating his mellower, semi-acoustic solo releases with harder-rocking albums from his band Dinosaur Jr. The latter released Give a Glimpse of What Yer Not in 2016, so now it's time for a solo set. Mascis will also tour in November and December in support of the new album.
