Fall 2018 Music Preview: 45 Key Albums
In the gallery above, get details about (and listen to music from) the most noteworthy albums scheduled for release between now and the end of 2018, including music from Paul McCartney, Muse, Cat Power, Thom Yorke, Elvis Costello, Low, Spiritualized, and more. Only albums with firm (or mostly firm) release dates are included (that means no Childish Gambino or Vampire Weekend, among others), and the albums are listed alphabetically by artist.
Out September 14 on Sub Pop. There's no such thing as a bad Low album, even if the releases aren't arriving quite as frequently as they once did for the now 25-year-old slowcore band. Again produced by B.J. Burton, their latest is already being described in early reviews as their most experimental and least accessible set to date, with their usual prettiness balanced by vocal distortion and glitchy, sometimes abrasive, electronic backing.
