A Wonderful Beast by Calvin Johnson
Out October 13 on K Records. The one-time frontman for indie greats Beat Happening and founder of K Records, Johnson occasionally releases solo albums under his own name, though none since 2007. (Two years ago, he did release a set from his Selector Dub Narcotic side project.) But there's a new one this fall, and it features production from Patrick Carney of The Black Keys. Michelle Branch guests.
