After a seemingly endless series of delays, Shenmue III looks like it should finally arrive in November. This crowdfunded sequel to the Dreamcast open-world action-RPG games Shenmue and Shenmue II, both groundbreaking but expensive commercial failures that went on to gain a cult following, comes from original series creator Yu Suzuki. Shenmue III's 2015 Kickstarter campaign raised over $2 million in its first day (and a then-record $6.3 million total), though some of that will be refunded to backers of the digital PC version who were angered by the announcement that—yes—it will bypass Steam and be an Epic Games Store exclusive.
