Release date: October 31 for Switch
There's no Mario game headed to the Switch this fall, so you'll have to make do with a rare entry in the Luigi's Mansion haunted house exploration series, which previously had one console release (originally for GameCube in 2001) and one handheld release (Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon for 3DS in 2013). The new game, arriving appropriately enough on Halloween, finds Luigi vacuuming up angry ghosts in an otherwise large, lovely hotel along with Mario and Princess Peach. Will Gooigi be there too? Count on it. A new multiplayer mode allows up to 8-player co-op gameplay.
