Fall Videogame Preview: 30 Most-Anticipated Games
In the gallery above, find details on the most-anticipated games that are scheduled to be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC between now and the end of 2019, listed in alphabetical order.
Release date: October 4 for PS4, XB1, and PC
The first entry in the Tom Clancy-inspired tactical shooter series in two years, Breakpoint is the first Ghost Recon game to be set in a fictional location rather than the real world. That large, open-world location is Auroa, an archipelago in the South Pacific that is home to a drone and AI company named Skell Technology that has suddenly gone silent. When you head there to investigate, you find yourself hunted by a paramilitary group known as the Wolves—whose leader sounds an awful like Jon Bernthal. (That's probably because it is Jon Bernthal.) And guess which one of you has control of the powerful, murderous drone technology. A co-op mode means that you can enlist a friend or three to help—though you can also choose to use an AI companion instead.
The PC version is—you guessed it—an Epic Games Store (semi-)exclusive. (It'll also be available on Ubisoft's own Uplay service.)
