Fall Videogame Preview: 30 Most-Anticipated Games

First announced in 2016, the highly anticipated PS4 exclusive Death Stranding is a mysterious new action title from famed game designer Hideo Kojima, best known for the Metal Gear series, and it's the first game from his Kojima Productions since the studio separated from Konami to become an independent entity. Details are still spotty—Kojima claims that Death Stranding creates a new genre ("action/strand," whatever that is), and it appears from the trailers to blend stealth, FPS, and open-world exploration in a sci-fi setting. But what we do know is that the game's cast is stellar, and includes characters played (via motion capture) by Norman Reedus, Lea Seydoux, Mads Mikkelsen, Lindsay Wagner, Margaret Qualley, and even filmmakers Guillermo del Toro and Nicolas Winding Refn.
