The Most-Anticipated Videogames Coming This Fall
Don't be too sad that summer's ending: It just means that the year's biggest videogames are about to start rolling out over the coming weeks. In the gallery above, we preview this fall's most-anticipated game releases headed to every console (and PC), from Red Dead Redemption 2 to a bunch of games that aren't Red Dead Redemption 2.
Out November 13 for PC/PS4/XB1. Everyone's favorite assassin Agent 47 returns for a direct sequel to 2016's Hitman reboot from IO Interactive. While that previous game was released episodically, Hitman 2 will be a more conventional release, with the full game (a story consisting of six distinct missions) arriving all at once in November. Two additional missions will arrive later as DLC.
Locations for each of the sandbox-style missions span the globe and include a Miami motorsports racetrack and a rainforest. They are filled with hundreds of non-player characters, and pretty much anything you can see on screen can be used as a weapon or tool. (Why kill someone with a gun when you can use a fish instead?) A new mode called Sniper Assassin allows you to take down targets with another player or on your own.
