The Most-Anticipated Videogames Coming This Fall
Don't be too sad that summer's ending: It just means that the year's biggest videogames are about to start rolling out over the coming weeks. In the gallery above, we preview this fall's most-anticipated game releases headed to every console (and PC), from Red Dead Redemption 2 to a bunch of games that aren't Red Dead Redemption 2.
Out October 19 for PS4/XB1/Switch. The 3D, weapon-based, fantasy fighting series celebrates its 20th anniversary with this sixth numbered installment. Fittingly, the new game (the first since 2012's SoulCalibur V) returns to the franchise's roots by revisiting the 16th century events of the original SoulCalibur. The game features returning characters (including Talim, the Last Priestess of the Winds, last seen a decade ago) as well as series newcomers (including Geralt of Rivia, on loan from the Witcher series), and like Bandai Namco's recent Tekken 7, runs on Unreal Engine 4. A pair of story modes are joined by various multiplayer modes.
