Laure de Clermont-Tonnerre (The Mustang) directs this latest version of D.H. Lawrence’s classic novel of class, love and sex. Emma Corrin (The Crown) plays Lady Chatterley, a woman of privilege who begins an affair with the gamekeeper (Jack O’Connell) on the estate where she lives with her husband (Matthew Duckett), who was paralyzed from the waist down in World War I. The key to this oft-told tale (the most recent feature release being Pascale Ferran’s well-regarded French language adaptation Lady Chatterley) is typically the chemistry between the lovers, and, in this regard, critics believe Corrin and O’Connell have it.
