Drama series debuts December 18 on Paramount+
The latest installment in Taylor Sheridan's Yellowstone Expanded Universe arrives almost exactly one year after the debut of the previous prequel, 1883 and, like that series, will be a streaming exclusive. We're going to guess that it's set roughly 40 years after the latter—but not in 1932, as the new series was originally titled, which means that it will take place during Montana's local economic downturn and not the nationwide Great Depression. Naturally, it will center on several additional generations of Duttons, including family members played by Harrison Ford (in his first regular TV role), Helen Mirren, Darren Mann, James Badge Dale, and Michelle Randolph. Non-Dutton regulars include a sheriff played by Robert Patrick and a wealthy and powerful local played by Timothy Dalton.
