Musical special airs December 15 on ABC
It's a tale as old as, well, three decades. ABC's primetime celebration of one of Disney's best-ever animated movies will intersperse clips from the original 1991 film—yes, it was technically released 31 years ago—with new staged live-action performances of the film's musical numbers, performed live in front of an audience by a cast including H.E.R. (singing Belle's parts), Josh Groban (Beast), David Alan Grier, Martin Short, Shania Twain, and Rita Moreno.
