This sequel to 2011’s Puss in Boots finds the titular cat (again voiced by Antonio Banderas) living the last of his nine lives. On the advice of his physician, he retires to a quiet life where he meets therapy dog Perrito (Harvey Guillén). But when he learns of the mythical Wishing Star, Puss sets out with Perrito and his former partner Kitty Softpaws (Salma Hayek Pinault) to make a wish for more lives. Along their journey they must battle Goldilocks (Florence Pugh) and the Three Bears (Ray Winstone, Olivia Colman, and Samson Kayo), Jack Horner (John Mulaney), who is no longer little, and the big, bad Wolf (Wagner Moura). Early reviews from critics point to it being a return to form for DreamWorks Animation.
