Movie debuts December 15 on Netflix
Also playing in theaters this month (beginning December 3rd), the latest Italian drama from Paolo Sorrentino (The Great Beauty, Il Divo, HBO's The Young Pope) is a coming of age tale set in 1980s Naples—where Sorrentino himself grew up—as an awkward teenage boy with an eccentric family finds his life upended after an incident involving soccer great Diego Maradona. The Hand of God won the second place Grand Jury Prize at Venice in September, where the film debuted to solid reviews—especially for the performance of its young lead (and Sorrentino stand-in), Filippo Scotti.
