December Preview: 16 TV Shows & New Movies to Watch at Home
In the gallery above, our editors have selected the coming month's most promising TV shows (including limited series and specials) as well as movies available to watch at home through VOD and digital purchases, listed in order by premiere date. Many of these titles haven't been reviewed yet (and we haven't seen them), but they are the most intriguing new releases on paper, at least, arriving in December.
Miniseries debuts December 6 on Showtime. Bryan Cranston heads the cast of a 10-episode legal thriller set in New Orleans that also stars Michael Stuhlbarg, Isiah Whitlock Jr., Carmen Ejogo, Hope Davis, Blair Underwood, Amy Landecker, and Sofia Black-D'Elia. Cranston plays a judge who is forced to turn to extreme measures to protect his son after the latter is involved in a hit-and-run accident. An adaptation of the Israeli show Kvodo, the miniseries comes from the Good Fight team of Robert and Michelle King, along with writer Peter Moffat (The Night Of), who serves as showrunner. Edward Berger (Patrick Melrose) directs multiple episodes.
