We rank the best-reviewed PlayStation titles released between January 1, 2021 and December 31, 2021 by Metascore. Games must have at least 7 reviews from professional critics to be eligible for inclusion. If a game appears on both PlayStation platforms, only the version receiving the higher quantity of critic reviews (typically the PS5 version) is eligible for inclusion. 89 Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade (PS5)

(#4) This enhanced version of the 2020 PS4 remake of 1997's Final Fantasy VII came to the PS5 in June. Intergrade upgrades the action-RPG game's visuals even further than the 2020 version and adds a new expansion centering on a new playable character, Yuffie Kisaragi.
