Above is our list of the 15 best-reviewed debut albums of 2020, ranked by Metascore. Note that albums must have at least 7 reviews—and be a full-length LP (or mixtape) rather than an EP—to be eligible for inclusion. Albums are ranked by Metascore prior to rounding based on scores as of December 13, 2020.
(#12) The Canadian R&B singer-songwriter (of Colombian descent) signed to Island records for the release of this full-length debut in March. It followed a pair of award-winning EPs (including the Grammy-nominated Being Human in Public) and collaborations with the likes of Eminem. The LP was shortlisted for Canada's top music prize (the Polaris), though it lost out to the most recent album by Backxwash.
