Movie debuts August 20 on HBO Max
The debut feature from Westworld co-creator Lisa Joy is set in the near future—specifically, in a Miami that has been flooded by the effects of climate change—and stars Hugh Jackman as Nick Bannister, a scientist who helps clients re-live any memories they choose. But what happens when one of those clients has memories that point to a violent, criminal past for Bannister's mysterious new romantic interest (Rebecca Ferguson)? Thandie Newton (another Westworld vet, as is much of the behind-the-camera talent) also stars in the sci-fi thriller, which streams on HBO Max in conjunction with a theatrical release.
