Movie available to rent on April 2 via VOD and digital outlets. There's lots of good early buzz for this unusually smart cringe comedy that marks the feature debut for writer-director Emma Seligman (who expands her short film of the same name). Shiva Baby, which first debuted at TIFF last fall, centers on a 20-something bisexual woman (played by Rachel Sennott) whose numerous issues—her relationship with a sugar daddy, the success of her ex-girlfriend, her fumbling academic career—come to a head while sitting shiva with her extended family. Molly Gordon, Fred Melamed, and Diana Agron also star.
