Comedy series debuts April 1 on HBO Max. Cristin Milioti, Billy Magnussen, and Ray Romano head the cast for an eight-episode adaptation of Alissa Nutting's darkly comedic 2017 novel about a woman who has a high-tech surveillance chip implanted in her brain by her ex-husband, an unstable and likely sociopathic tech billionaire. The adaptation comes from writer Patrick Somerville (Maniac). Though some critics who previewed the series at SXSW noted a bit of a bumpy start, the HBO Max schedule should overcome that to an extent: Love will stream on HBO Max in a binge/weekly hybrid, with three episodes streaming on the 1st and 8th, followed by the final two on April 15.
